Building the Foundation for Peace

We have found land on Salt Spring Island that will be the ideal location for the Salt Spring Peace Centre!

The Land

93 acres of lush forest and rocky knolls with an expansive view of the ocean to the east will provide the perfect backdrop for these peace-creating programs. Several raised knolls on the land allow for the development of separate buildings each with a spectacular view but privately situated from each other.

The land is removed from the main populated areas of the island yet central enough to allow easy access for participants of the peace programs. In addition to housing the peace-creating group, the Peace Centre will offer a wide range of practical programs for concerned citizens that will promote peace, health and happiness. Therefore, ease of access is an important consideration in choosing the best location.

We need your help to establish this foundation for peace. Your generous donation will allow us to purchase this land and begin our capital campaign to raise funds for construction of the Peace Centre. The sooner we can begin, the sooner these peace-creating programs will be in place, radiating peace from Salt Spring Island to the world.

Our target

We urgently need to raise $1.5 million to purchase the land. Time is of the essence. The owner is interested in our project but needs to sell this property soon. We need to act quickly to secure this ideal location for the Peace Centre.

Donations

Donations for the purchase of land should be made to Maharishi International Academy, a Canadian registered charitable organization (887435592 RR0001) that has been promoting world peace for 25 years. Print out the donation page and send/fax it to us. Income tax receipts will automatically be issued.

MIA and the Global Country of World Peace – Salt Spring Island are working as a joint venture on the Salt Spring Peace Project. MIA is audited annually by Deloitte and Touche.
